Elevation
Bad Kleinkirchheim, the first "Alpine Wellness Resort" in Austria, has an average elevation of 1,087 m and extends approximately five kilometres east and west through the valley of the Gurktal Alps. The town is located between idyllic Lake Millstätt and the upper Gurktal, and is surrounded by the UNESCO biosphere park of the Nock Mountains.
The Nock Mountains belong to Europe's only biosphere park in the gently rolling high mountain range with the tallest spruce and pine trees in the Eastern Alps. The distinctive appearance of the rounded Nock Mountains is a geological rarity and unique to the entire Alpine region.
The gently rolling summits in the biosphere park of the Nock Mountains promise beautiful views all year round. Take a deep breath and soak in the dreamlike mountain landscape with over 1,000 km of idyllic and well-groomed hiking trails, and experience how quickly your senses come to life. At an elevation of 1,000 m above sea level, the air is free of allergens, and the mild, sun-filled, invigorating climate on the south side of the Alps is perfect for enjoyable, athletic activities in the Nock Mountains.

Environment
Since we are lucky enough to be surrounded by the Nock Mountains every day, it is important to us that we protect them and help sustain them for the future.
That is why we do not use fossil fuels. Instead, we heat with local district heating (wood) and solar energy. We use our natural resources sparingly and carefully, and we use recyclable and environmentally friendly materials. Furthermore, we take responsibility for our environment by continuously recycling trash and optimally insulating the entire building. The environment and protecting it is extremely important to us.
